[Yum] do exclude lines in yum config files concatenate?

Some of my yum config files are developing exclude lines that are
getting long.  Is it possible to replace those long lines with
multiple lines, either with continuation characters or with 
extra lines starting with "exclude"?   I can't find this in
the docs.
