[Yum] Weird: IOError: <urlopen error (-2 Name.. but yumex works!!!

Good Afternoon Michael

I hope you are feeling better. Apologies for not responding sooner, have 
had a few things to deal with myself!

I cleared out /etc/yum.repos.d of any non-enabled repos, as they really 
fill up debug.txt! I have attached the file. I am still baffled....

Additional yum output not in debug.txt is simply:

   Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: core
