Ok, I ran yum -y update with no problems everything appeared to update.
However the yum -y install qmail command did not do anything.  It
returned:
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: qmail
Nothing to do
