[Yum] Yum 2.4.2 ignoring updates

Hi -

We have yum configured for a local update tree, including our own 
repository which we rebuild with "createrepo dirname". It seems that yum 
is ignoring any updates which are put into this repository.

This is with yum 2.4.2 on Scientific Linux, which is a RHEL clone.

If I do:

The directory it isn't seeing updates on is 
/data/soft3/kickstart/sl-43_own_rpms. If you do a "yum clean all", then a 
"yum update" then everything works. Any ideas?
