works like a charm, but now for the next problem,

after checking the repo's all are enabled, but still I get following error message when I
try to update :

root at localhost yum.repos.d]# ls
dries.repo fedora.repo freshrpms.repo
fedora-devel.repo fedora.repo~ mirrors-rpmforge
fedora-extras-devel.repo fedora-updates.repo newrpms.repo
fedora-extras.repo fedora-updates-testing.repo rpmforge.repo

[root at localhost yum.repos.d]# cat fedora.repo
[base]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-$releasever
baseurl=ftp://alviss.et.tudelft.nl/pub/fedora/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1

[root at localhost yum.repos.d]# yum update
Setting up Update Process
Setting up repositories
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: core
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from core: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
[root at localhost yum.repos.d]#

any idea what this could mean?

cheers,
