[Yum] help

i have a book call red hat and fedora, load up server.
now all i want to fo is set up what is call in windows iis, ftp and www so that i can post some files for friends to have as they need 
howerver every book i buy to do this (it looks like i need to learn how to write all of fedora)
can help me in setting up ftp or www on my server 
 
i even went and buy fedora bible and just like the bible i cant work out if i am going to heaven or hell
