My dist is RHEL 4
Downloaded yum-2.4.0.tar.gz
<http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/download/2.4/yum-2.4.0.tar.gz>
Unpacked and installed with "make install"
When I type "yum" I receive the following message:
---------------------------------------------------------
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:
No module named yum
Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.
It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:
2.3.4 (#1, Feb 2 2005, 11:44:49)
[GCC 3.4.3 20041212 (Red Hat 3.4.3-9.EL4)]
If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please send this
message to <yum at lists.linux.duke.edu>.
---------------------------------------------------------
Going to the python console, if I type "import yum" I get the following:
---------------------------------------------------------
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
ImportError: No module named yum
---------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
