[Yum] Problem running YUM

Hi I just downloaded YUM and issued the command make.

Everything seems ok at the installation.

But when I run "yum" I get the following message:

There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:

No module named yum

Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.

It's possible that the above module doesn´t match the 
current version of Python, which is:
2.2.3 (#1, Aug 8 2003, 8:44:02)¨
[GCC 3.2. 20030502 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-13)]


Any help is much appreciated.
