[Yum] Installing Yum

Hello everyone!
I've been trying really hard to install yum on my server since days,
but am not successful. I have gotten to the point that I can at least
run yum, but this is the output:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/yum", line 6, in ?
    import yummain
  File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yummain.py", line 23, in ?
    import yum
ImportError: No module named yum

If someone could help, I would really appreciate it!
I'm running RH9, Python-2.4.1, Plesk 7.5.2 on a virtual machine. I'm a
noob but I know how to do the basics.
