[Yum] Yum stops with FUTEX_WAIT?

Hi!

Using yum (2.0.7) on RH ES 3.0 which has always worked fine until now, 
yum stops at this point:

XFree86-font-utils-4.3.0- 100% |=========================| 216 kB    00:00
Running test transaction:
Test transaction complete, Success!
libgcc 100 % done 1/275

Stracing the process shows the following:

box:~ # strace -fp 13685
Process 13685 attached - interrupt to quit
futex(0xb744f9c4, FUTEX_WAIT, 1, NULL <unfinished ...>
Process 13685 detached

 From /etc/yum.conf, /var/log/yum.log doesn't show anything helpful.
