in the Version field, I assume it will optionally include

I would like to raise a hand and say that being able to mash 
it all on one line _greatly_ simplifies over-wrapping yum with 
a results parser, or post-processing a logfile.

Please, if it ends up on more than one line, include an option 
in /etc/yum.conf and on the command line, for single line -- 

[i] nmap-frontend i386 2-3.00-1 1
[d] nmap i386 2-3.00-1 1

where nmap-frontend i386 EVR 2 3.00 1 was Installed, and its 
Dep, nmap i386 EVR 2 3.00 1 from archive stanza '1' (I do not 
like numbering them, but if the description can 
(pathologically) run multi-line, that, or 
'mashing' them with a     tr '\n\r' '  '    approach are 
about all that i can see to do it.)
