it's been updated for 0.9.4 (available from the website)

it is a file globbing match

so it takes *,? etc etc
just like a file name match would.

if you want to see the function that does this it is in clientStuff and
it's called nameinExcludes() - line 122

in the docs for that version it explains this.

I just checked this from the site - it is correct, I think.
