hey,
 since it doesn't break  anything I added the gzipped headers patch
(more or less) as grigory submitted it - had to modify the exception
catching in readHeaders.

and I fixed a couple of typos.

its up on the website.

I didn't add the version info to the header.info file - I'm still
waffling on that.

I'm good at waffling.
