I just have one request ... may you either mave mediasort (nested
function) out of function, so that it is accessible at predownload
hook or change to sort call prior to hook point .. so that I can get
out of my evil implementation ? Is it acceptable ? I would like a
straight yes or no ?

If yes I can provide a patch.
