 For what it's worth I recently moved my personal development from Arch
to GIT, mainly because it seemed obvious to me that it was going to win
the SCM war. Another factor was that GIT has Tk, Qt and gtk+ history
viewers available for it in Fedora.
 I was also pleasantly surprised about how much nicer/faster it was than
Arch.

 Saying all that ... having mercurial instead of CVS would still be a
significant upgrade, IMO.
