[Yum-devel] update rpms that are not installed

I'm not sure if what youve suggested is what I'm looking for so
here's an example...

Lets just say the pool of RPMs I plan on using for my next od
install are located in /RPMS/

$ ls -l /RPMS/
 a.rpm
 b.rpm
 c.rpm
 ...

I would like to leverage yum to be sure that a.rpm, b.rpm, c.rpm
(files residing on disk but not installed on running OS) are up to
date.

is that possible?
