[Yum] Old packages not purged after yum update?

Unfortunately it seems there are two versions of the x86_64 arch packages:

bzip2-libs.x86_64          1.0.3-4.el5_2          installed
bzip2-libs.x86_64          1.0.3-3                installed

I know, I have been tracking RHEL since 5.1 on another set of servers,
however these servers were setup from a 5.2 base repository.

Thank you, running:
package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
package-cleanup --cleandupes

Did indeed work it didn't find any "problems", but dupes were detected
and cleaned. It seems the version I have of package-cleanup didn't like
two tasks at once.
