Agreed.  I'd like to know as well since we use yum 2.2 on RHEL 3 and yum 
2.4 on RHEL 4.  With RHEL 3 Update 7, we're moving to yum 2.4 across the 
board.  I assume the comps.xml format changes will be present in Fedora 
Core 5 and therefore inherent in RHEL 5, but I'd like more details  :)
