What distribution are you running ???.
if you are running Fedora Core 4:

base,updates-released,extras

and

1. livna

or

2. freshrpms,dries,newrpms. 

don't mix 1 & 2. Select one and stick with it, both contains patent
releated stuff like deCSS,MP3,Mplayer,Xine etc.
