[Yum] failure: repodata/repomd.xml from base: [Errno 256] No moremirrors to

For anyone who is experiencing this problem, I would NOT recommend a glibc 
rollback.

A change to the hosts line in /etc/nsswitch.conf fixed the issue:

#hosts:      files nisplus dns
hosts:      files dns
