# rpm -q python
python-2.4.1-2

Because in Redhat's Python configure is executed with

I upgraded from the CD which I downloaded from the
fedora.org<http://fedora.org>,
perhaps it was with my distro,
After yum errors, I started to learn that yum is using python and I got
curious to find out more about python, and I downloaded the rpm package from
rpm.pbone.net <http://rpm.pbone.net>.
What I noticed was that somewhere in the file name there was "mdk" which I
believe stands for mandrake, but what surprises me is that even right after
upgrading to FC4 I had this probelm so it must have been the problem with
the distro's python.
Meanwhile, I didn't have this problem with FC3.
