[Yum] yum not working

second idea: the above baseurl is wrong. It should be:
http://apt.sw.be/dries/fedora/fc3/i386/dries/RPMS/


any time a url gives you a failure getting the repomd.xml file - go to
the url you typed in. Do it in a web browser.

if there isn't a 'repodata' directory there then it's not a correct
baseurl.
