No, again, that's not your issue. Do the following:

o Craft your favourite yum.conf
o kickstart your boxes
o add to the post part of the kickstart file

  yum install yum
  yum update

In doubt create two yum.conf, one pure Red Hat, and one mixed and have
the first command run with

yum -c yum-RH-only.conf install yum

Check out the manpage on the usage of -c.
