[Yum] Yum service hangs

Just to be clear, the fact that there is no traffic does not mean
there's a networking problem.  It may be hung elsewhere and not even
trying to send/receive data.

How do you know that?  Please share the results of your investigation.

Here's the thing.  I need to be able to recreate these problems in
order to diagnose them.  I know it's frustrating to have something
nont work correctly, but I've NEVER seen this behavior.  So far,
everybody seems to have a different problem (except maybe for you and
Michael, but Michael's setup is so strange it's hard to say).
