Hi,

would it possible to change the behavior of the Yum 2.1.11 version so
that it prints with the -d 0 option not the lines:

Installing: x 100 % done 1/2
Installing: y 100 % done 2/2

for each package? Instead it could just print the results:

Updated: x y
Complete!

like the old yum version did.

The reason is the cron job which runs in the night, the cron job runs
with -d 0 (the old yum was very silent with this option) but yum 2.1.11
still prints the "Installing: x 100 % done a/b" message which creates
very large log files of the cron job because it lists each jump from 0
to 100% on a separate line :) but the result which package got updated
or installed is missing :). So the feature request would be to restore
for -d 0 the old yum behavior which just prints the results at the end.

Regards,

   Jürgen
