[Yum] How to exclude

Yes, you just need to add an 'exclude=' line to your yum.conf.

>From 'man yum.conf':
       exclude
              list  of  packages  to  exclude  from  updates or installs.
This
              should be a space separated list.  Filename globs *,?,., etc
are
              allowed
