[Yum] Using yum against password protected http repositories

Greetings:

I'm trying to set up Yum to work with Progeny to automatically pull down 
and install the correct updates.

Progeny has their updates behind a password protected area.

Is there a way to configure yum to utilize a user id and password to access 
repositories on a Web server with password protection?  If so, how?
