I getting this error when trying to run yum:

[root at violet 14:18:07 root]# yum -c /etc/yum-fedora.conf list updates

I had downloaded yum-2.0.4 from fedora-core on the yum run just prior to
the last. Then I ran another yum again and upgraded 50 more RPMs. Now
when I invoke yum it gives me the above error (with and without the -C

There were no obvious python related rpms in the last run, but it seems
that there must have been one.

Any thoughts as to what I need to do?
