[Yum] Weird yum behaviour maybe?

Hi all,
I am seeing some weird behaviour with yum wrt upgrading packages. At this
point I am not sure if this is a yum problem or I if I am going brain dead.

If I do yum list updates I get:
(tigger pts8) # yum list updates
Gathering package information from servers
Getting headers from: Red Hat Linux 8.0 base
Getting headers from: Red Hat Linux 8.0 docs
Getting headers from: rogueind 8.0 local updates
Getting headers from: Red Hat Linux 8.0 updates
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
No Packages Available
(tigger pts8) #

If I do rpm -qa | grep fwbuilder I get:
(tigger pts8) # rpm -qa | grep fwbuilder
(tigger pts8) #

an ls -l of the repository shows:
(icarus pts2) # ll
total 7756

header.info looks like this:
icarus pts2) # more header.info
(icarus pts2) #

and yum.conf:
(tigger pts9) # cat /etc/yum.conf

name=Red Hat Linux $releasever base

name=Red Hat Linux $releasever updates

name=rogueind $releasever local updates

Now the really weird part of this is that if I do rpm -Fvh fwbuilder-1.0.10-1.rh80.i386.rpm
rpm tries to upgrade the fwbuilder package.

Soooo what I am trying to figure out is why does yum think fwbuilder
is up to date and rpm does not??

Am I going crazy here or is there really something wrong here??
