[Yum] ImportError: No module named rpm

Hello,

I just installed Mandrake 9.1 and fancied giving yum a go as an update
mechanism. I installed it using 'urpmi yum', and no evident problems
occurred. The service starts up fine. Whenever I try to use it, though,
I get the following:

[root at athlon root]# yum status
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/yum", line 22, in ?
    import yummain
  File "yummain.py", line 21, in ?
  File "clientStuff.py", line 22, in ?
ImportError: No module named rpm

Python is fully installed, as is the 'rpm' package, so what's going on
here?

TIA

John
