yum update

with the kernel-2.4.18-24.7.x.1.nano.tjc kernel installed on the machine
and kernel-2.4.18-24.7.x in the repository, should yum try to install
the kernel in the repository? Yum downloaded the kernel from the repository
and attempted to install it. It

This is a RHL 7.2 system we had sitting in the corner until recently. I 
decided to install yum on it to bring it up to date. 
[root at octopus root]# rpm -qa | grep rpm
rpm-build-4.0.4-7x
rpm-perl-4.0.4-7x
rpm2html-1.7-3.7x
rpm-python-4.0.4-7x
rpmfind-1.7-4.7x
rpm-4.0.4-7x

[root at octopus root]# rpm -qa | grep yum
yum-0.9.3-1
[root at octopus root]#

I am using your repositories for 7.2 to do the updates.
