Agreed.  Oh, 2 or 3 connections?  That's peanuts compared to 
the fastestmirror plugin, simultaneously connecting to every
mirror available..

We always select the "best" mirror.  Multiple mirrors are used only
because of the penalty applied to the ones already used.  But yes,
we can also calculate another metric just to put that into headers.

That's the safest thing we can do, but it hurts setups with only
one good mirror => 1 connection only.
