May be related?  I was unable to reproduce it.

This Debian bug seems like a unicode issue to me.  Isn't 
self.fileaction localised?  (never was in GIT, but maybe 
I'm plain wrong or there's a specific patch in debian).

<U+FEFF><14> is BOM + SO, it seems they were put there
on purpose.  Might even have slipped to .po file somehow.
