 What version are you testing with?
 I get (using rawhide/upstream):

% yum search -C xxx
Failed to add Pkg Tags for repository: updates - Caching enabled but no local cache of /var/cache/yum/x86_64/15/updates/pkgtags.sqlite.gz from updates
=============================== N/S Matched: xxx ===============================
mixxx.x86_64 : Mixxx is open source software for DJ'ing
perl-XXX.noarch : See Your Data in the Nude

  Name and summary matches only, use "search all" for everything.
