Having an exception handler like this is irrelevant.  You still end up
presenting the user with "Something tracebacked.  Have fun figuring out
what went wrong and fixing it!".  If you want to catch them as plugin
errors, then you really want to catch them when they happen, disable the
plugin (or at least, allow disabling the plugin) and then be able to
continue with normal execution
