[Yum-devel] yumdownloader vs yum-2.5.x

At the moment yum-utils cvs HEAD works for both yum-2.4.x and 2.5.x as
far as I can tell, with the exception of yumdownloader. Ville Skyttä has
made a patch to make it work with 2.5.x:

breaks it with 2.4.x :-/

Sure, at some point we just need to give up on compatibility but I'd
just hate to break it only for one util... Thoughts / any ideas how to
make it compatible with both 2.4.x and 2.5.x for the time being, or
should we just bite the bullet and accept the inevitable?
