The short explanation is that urlgrabber hasn't been tested much on
windows. This is largely because I didn't really have access to
windows machines (strange, I know). I do now, so I'll try and give it
a whirl and see if I can take care of some of that. The sort of thing
you're describing encourages me, as it's likely not a big deal. That
said, the really nasty bugs may only show up once this kind of thing
is fixed :)
