I wasn't aware of any remaining issues on the urlgrabber side. I 
thought Michael had regets working nicely? I can look into it if 
Michael doesn't jump in.

There's this:

That should fix FTP servers without support for byte-ranges. The fixes 
were committed to urlgrabber CVS around 2004-12-12. I don't think I 
ever followed up with you on getting that into a yum release.

As for HTTP, I'm pretty sure the solution will be very similar to the 
FTP fix above. Any ideas on configuring apache to reject ranges? A 
quick googling didn't turn up anything. Or possibly a few troublesome 
public servers people have run into that I could test on? I should be 
able to have something fairly quick if I can get at a server that is 
easy to break.
